at EY it's the same across all service lines.

Ah, fair enough. At another big 4, starting salaries are higher in consulting than Audit/Tax. Not sure if they converge somewhat at around Manager/SM level though

THis is the salary in NYC fresh grad for consulting. I guess the reason why consulting are not that well remunerated in sg is due to lack of quality work.

Yes that's partially true imo. Perhaps not so much the quality of work but more the scope/scale of work is not as large.. We often also forget that in the US/Europe the consulting landscape is very different, for e.g. there you can graduate and live in SF but be asked to relocate to NYC (which also explains relocation bonuses). Apart from that, fed/state income taxes are significantly higher than what we have here (gross salary of $70k erodes to around $50k after tax), higher costs of living, etc.

Seeing how (low) entry-level salaries are in the big 4 firms, what's their draw towards grads? Esp those high second-upper/magna cum laude kids, and more so in Advisory when there's no eventual qualification that the company can sponsor them for.

Assistant Manager: 4700 - 6000 (Several levels of AM)
Manager: 6000 - 9000 (Several levels of M)
Associate Director: 9000 - 11000 (Several levels of AD)
Director: 12000 - 16000 (Several levels of D)
Partner: >20000 (Highly variable; Salaried partnership / Equity partnership)
THis is accurate but not sure if adjusted for this year. Starting salaries usually bump up by 100 every year.

AM is usually 1 level only.

Hi People,

Just wanted to check in with other fellow Big4er's. What is the typical Director level salary and years of experience required?

My understanding is it's minimum 12 years experience, ability to build practice area and this commands a salary of $13,000 per month and above.

Can anyone confirm their views?

Thanks
