Depends on what you mean logical. People commonly move on to commercial accounting doing internal audit, fp&a etc in the same industry that they audited in Big 4. Some lucky ones who networked well can even get to move onto non-accounting roles.

Do corporate finance get paid the same as Audit? What are the bonus like?

I know of one manager like that.
Abt 6 years to manager ie performance exceed expectation. $8000
She then jump to a small firm as senior manager thereafter, abt $8,200 (yearly increment if $500) but her bonus was 2-3 months so annual abt $115k-$130k. This small firm has a lot of politics but she’s fine cos all the same D big 4 staff. They join force trying to squeeze out the other partner. The salary is Better than being a partner in mid tier.

Strange, I am getting a lot CVs from big 4 audit managers (1st-2nd year) and none exceeds 7k.

based on what i know, kpmg's pay for corporate finance (grad entry role) is the same for audit. what a joke... the big 4 has gotten away with underpaying for far too long imo
