Yes managers scared because means they have to do more work. And it is very unfair to them.

But partners are never scared of this. Somehow things will get done. It always does.

That explains why not everyone is a partner material. A bit small matter, some mgr can kpkb and make it big. These will forever stuck at m/sm

I am a manager too.

It’s just a title. We are no different from associates or seniors. Just employees paid to do a job. We just have more experience on testing certain transactions and have encountered more situations. Other than that we’re not that different….

You'll just have to sacrifice sleep, no kidding.

Ask tons of questions, communicate status to manager everyday, keep good notes on what to follow up and the status. Resolve client replies immediately or you'll miss out on things.

I tendered because I hated sleeping 4 hours a day. If you don't want to follow up, then just resign early like those smart people.
