Was in audit for the past 10 years, the latest time i knock off was 3am ( but only for critical time when printing AR/ rushing AC reporting)

Too bad the audit team who will be ex auditor as their client, they will get roast hard and the client know how to compute the basis of the materiality
2 weeks only to complete an entire audit with 2-3 people. You tell me how to not work past midnight?

this is not like your donkey years ago where there's no accounting standards and no auditing standards

are u from small firm?
u know we big 4 people/ex big 4 people don't mix with those right?
im ex big 4 and i work to 2-4am on a regular basis, and that is me just trying to keep my job. I do my job as expected of me, no higher, no wayang. I dont bother being high performer due to the attention as well as to stay below radar. so to those who talk about quiet quitting, i'm not sure how u do it.

im quite certain those who talk about quiet quitting are either only associate level or not from a big 4

Seems like Deloitte salary is still below market?
don't expect adjustments, it's just a covid thing. tone at the top already say overhired, bleeding from payroll cost, offshore so no need so much labour. One even outright said won't raise salary again since other firm will just offer 200 more so no point.

My dept only hired 1 manager, 1 AM, 1 senior, 1 associate this year. We bled waaaay more than that.

since they over hired means last 1 or 2 years must have enough manpower so people probably slacking off.

those quiet quitting people confirm all associates or non-big 4. my gen z associates have been giving me 25% output. from the delusional way they talk and promote tiktok "workplace" influencer like the lou lou also you can know already.

working 2-4am is regular performer for senior, working until 12am is low performer. please just resign so that we can actually hire people who are willing to work so we don't have to do your sections too during peak

overhired to partner just means close to regular amount of headcount. to them, normal hiring is extremely understaffed. please don't be so naive and take partner corporate speak at face value.

My luck **** ba. 1 new joiner who MC a few days and me only. 2 weeks to reporting. Client docs always got issues. Stingy manager who wont give me a above average score since I'm not promotion year (wtf)

Congrats on that extra 1 or 2 months bonus I guess
