To a JHK, working in the Singapore office of a Big 4 audit firm is about as prestigious as a Singaporean working in JPM or Morgan Stanley in NY or London.
It's much more advantageous to hire a poorer third world employee who believes your company is the best that they will do in their life, as opposed to a disgruntled unhappy local who is only in the company because they're not good enough for other more prestigious/better paying roles.
The former will work 10x as hard and is willing to take 10x more s**t than the latter.
Get it? Or too complicated for you to grasp?

their foreigner to local ratio is within limits. if u have gotten employer to sign Annex A form before you'd know there's nothing to whistleblow. HR also not that stupid, they stop hiring if limit is near, that's why always not enough seniors and managers

It’s true but not meaningful discussion because your starting point is different.
You take a glass of water for granted but to children without access to clean drinking water, it’s worth its weight in gold.
We should discuss objectively- 4k is 4k.

i am a S1 in tax drawing 4.7. Currently i have an offer for a stat board, 5.3k monthly with 3-4 months bonus yearly (1 month AWS, 2.5 months PB for average performer, 1 month annual variable component announced during mid/ end year).
is it wise to take up the offer? or i should grind till AM and then use the AM pay to jump out?

I have been acting senior for half a year already. Should I try to skip s1 and just jump to other big 4 and apply for senior 2 position?
