It seems that you got the whole point wrong… how can you compare this to uni dude. People OT because they do not want want their team to suffer. If everyone doesnt OT, who will do the work? Obviously most of the people dislike OT but still OT because they are responsible……

The rationale behind why in Big 4, it is easier to promote is due to the high attrition rate and lack of seniors which really forces people to move up the ladder. But ultimately, I feel that in order to progress or promote depends if the team or SM likes you lor.

For A1 to A2, it shouldn't be an issue if you have a good learning attitude. I guess the hurdle is from A2 to S1 as they want to see if you're able to handle the role as a senior?

For a A1 to not progress, it is quite rare... If it happens then either switch Big4 or go commercial if you find yourself not adapting to the culture

Not from orange but this sounds pretty fake . No news from my orange friends for now.

Audit Big 4 A1 3.6k now. Any other source saying otherwise is fake.
A2 now won't be more than 4k too.

unless talking about advisory or m&a... different pay scale.
