With each local uni pumping out almost 700 accounting grads per year, the prospects for this industry are bleak. To add insult to injury, there are no restrictions on cheap jhk adding to the competition with their UOL degrees. Best to get out while you can.

Clearly u are full of BS. NUS cohort of accounting grads is only about 250 per year, the same as law and fewer than medicine.

Clearly you have drunk the kool-aid and are now stuck in a dead end industry. Keep at it and maybe someday you will make partner. Cheers.

I recall during my years there were 500 to 600+ accountancy students in NTU

Now the intake drop to 400+

Still large but I wonder why the drop

Yes I am nus accounting grad, but i am not doing any accounting related work.

Seeing how u simply BS some data to put forth yr argument, it is highly unlikely yr job is any better than an accountant. In the long run, yr career trajectory will also be lackluster compared to big 4 accountants.

Nice story there.

You can study any other degree with the nanyang scholarship. Seems like u would rather donate 40k to the uni and forgo the perks that comes with the scholarship.

S2 only 5k? That is like less than $300 increase from my S2 pay more than 5 years ago. From the number of salary adjustment topics in this thread i thought they would have increased by $1k now.

Competing for talents? Lmao my toes are laughing. It is just mid tiers ppl and msians lah.
