Which firm is yours and JHK nowadays got so stuck up? My time, the batchmates, mid joiners, and some of the mgr/partners were quite ok. Granted MY (and mostly UK/AU/SG unis) maybe accounted for 20-30% of my batchmates
Firm keep hiring JHK as seniors and managers now because all the sg left within two years. Most of the sg are now associates and SM/P. The SM/P continue to stay while the fresh grads supply come in every year. The mid management are almost all Msian now. In a few years time, you will only see associates are from singapore.

Btw they also get the employee and employers cpf in cash, many of them hide this from you
They laughing at how sinkies all strawberry cannot make it to managers. Proportion of JHK increasing to almost 70%

As an ex big 4, it is really saddening to see the state of big 4 now. In the past big 4 is so prestigious that we only accept the 3 local uni grads. Audit quality is extremely high, now I see the firms are hiring whatever humans who can work long hours

Now lacking manpower. Accounting is deemed low end profession. Cant blame them.
