News flash, there are many jobs out there that don’t require you to OT or work weekends.

Flawed equivalence. You should compare how much an auditor with 10 YOE earns vs how much a doctor or lawyer with 10 YOE.

I am getting 180k per annum as an SM at big 4 and am on the partners list as well- I do not know for certain when I'll make partner but being 38 and having been on the list for 2 years, I can safely say I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have so many benefits and perks , I love it. Even my iphone and ipad was paid for by my company. With WFH , I can almost save my whole salary - even if i dont make partner, with my investments i can safely and comfortably retire in 5 years. I also already have my own private property that is churning me an additional 5 k rental per month
i get that you are saying you CAN have a good life in audit/big4 if you pull yourself up by your bootstraps and grit your teeth and bite the bullet.

but when you are enjoying your 180k/annum and your comfortable lifestyle - ask yourself this: at whose expense are you enjoying all of this?

you are literally enjoying off ppl's long hours and sacrifice in b4 as you did while you were younger.

big4 is a zero sum game where some ppl win but alot more ppl lose, whether it be in lost family time, burnout, health concerns etc. when we have seen from other industries (tech) that it does NOT have to be this way.

Must be fake. Now so many places are fire fighting for talents. And its no brainer that audit is lacking manpower now. Now all low to no quality ppl are getting in audit just to fill up the numbers in b4. U still come here and brag about ur lifestyle. Go help ur partner solve these issues and im sure u promote soon.
