The last two post are damn funny. I imagine this must be what boomers think of kids and what kids think of boomers.

Everyone I speak to is recommending me to go into big4 audit, but from what I see here, the general consensus is that audit is the worse department of big4. Any advice?

Audit/assurance is really not that bad. I was lucky to have been placed in good engagements that look amazing on paper but actually pretty chill, I was also lucky to have gotten chill managers . yes, I did work late and weekends in my initial years but life is good now. I am getting 180k per annum as an SM at big 4 and am on the partners list as well- I do not know for certain when I'll make partner but being 38 and having been on the list for 2 years, I can safely say I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have so many benefits and perks , I love it. Even my iphone and ipad was paid for by my company. With WFH , I can almost save my whole salary - even if i dont make partner, with my investments i can safely and comfortably retire in 5 years. I also already have my own private property that is churning me an additional 5 k rental per month

Team lunches every 2 weeks is also paid for my partner/company funds. We also have exercise and lifestyle allowances. Ijust miss the travel allowances- when I travel I in fact made loads of money- all fully paid shopping by my silly firm.
