With WFH , I can almost save my whole salary - even if i dont make partner, with my investments i can safely and comfortably retire in 5 years. I also already have my own private property that is churning me an additional 5 k rental per month

i get that you are saying you CAN have a good life in audit/big4 if you pull yourself up by your bootstraps and grit your teeth and bite the bullet.
but when you are enjoying your 180k/annum and your comfortable lifestyle - ask yourself this: at whose expense are you enjoying all of this?
you are literally enjoying off ppl's long hours and sacrifice in b4 as you did while you were younger.
big4 is a zero sum game where some ppl win but alot more ppl lose, whether it be in lost family time, burnout, health concerns etc. when we have seen from other industries (tech) that it does NOT have to be this way.
