Wow it's 2021 and people still so proud about being an auditor whose income is of lower percentile in the society.
Sure you're talking about a KITCHEN? Or is it a hawker

Toxic people like you with that kind of elitist mentality can go fk yourself.
People should take pride in the work they do, whether they are a cleaner, hawker, auditor, whatever it is. It's honest work.
Besides, with the recent salary revision in EY, auditors with 2 years of experience will be getting paid the median income in Singapore so your statement on being lower percentile in society is fake news.

No, I doubt there are any Partners here.
You can tell from the questions and the way they talk. Those asking basic questions are probably poly/uni students either at internship stage or looking for first job. A few might be associates who just got in and wondering what they got themselves into.
Then there are some seniors here who got burnt out from their roles and can’t take it anymore and just keep ranting about their lives and asking about exit opportunities. (I suspect this is the largest group)
Then a minority are those who succeeded in grinding through and got their CA.

The median income in Singapore in 2020 is $4,534 including Employer CPF.
$4,534 / 1.17 = $3,875
Even before the recent pay revision, it is well known B4 Senior Associate 1 earns > 4k.
s://stats. mom.gov.sg/Pages/Income-Summary-Table.aspx
Just 2 years out of school to earn above median, that’s pretty good already.

Can join commercial or change career path. What is wrong with that? Who told you study accounting means must die die stay in public accounting or commercial for more than 2 years? Are you a sheep who is just blindly following what others are doing or what your partner is trying to brainwash you?

You need to filter out by education level, I would suspect that the auditor pay would barely reach the median of degree-educated folks at the same age range
