I think it's cause last year my increment and bonus was minimal. (<SGD100) so I made quite a fair bit of noise to my counsellor.

I think the amount of bonus awarded is also dependent on your salary range for yellow. If your increment is at the higher range for your rank, bonus awarded should be lower. Those at yellow - do correct me if i am wrong.

Maybe for assurance. For consulting it depends on how niche your skillsets are. I know of only 1-2 people who can lead an IFRS17 implementation project, so the bonus/salary/promotion is fast tracked just to make sure they don't go anywhere else.

Well... if you do simple math, blue employees lose out pretty much during the first 3 years. Who is to say that they will stay for more than 3 years...
