Yes night shift you will be alone, cos not so much samples, 1 staff will do. downside is if things get busy, you alone need to tank everything, however good thing is night shift is more chill, quieter, can play music to pass time, bosses/management not around. 1 night shift staff per section, eg 1 in blood bank, 1 in haem, 1 in biochem.
Our molecular dept dont have night shift.

Thanks for the reply.
If that case, when is the first time they roster you to do night shift?
Is it we need to be competent enough before they put us to do night shift?
Or will they roster us to do night shift after we only join for the few months?
Haha... Abit scare to work alone.

Stable industry? For those who studied science, this is our other option if we do not want to go into private labs/work in tuas/do research or sales or administrative work.

if nobody works in hospital lab, how is doctor gonna make their diagnosis? day in day out, doctor called the lab to chase results, kena scolding from doctors if results is not ready. we are always the forgotten ones among the AHP, nobody remembers our hard work.

Eh..., unfortunately I do not know anything about Clinical Biochemistry, but I think that you can use some kind of calculator or formula card in solving different problems because it will be easier. I work as a builder and I always have to deal with numbers, so to find a solution faster, I use the converter from https://cm-to.com, to convert measured parts for example from centimeters to inches, etc. I hope that my experience will help you in your endeavor as well.
