If you are looking for a career and in need to lock some mileage in work experiences, which one will be relevant to you, based on your studies? Which job will have given you an advantage when you decide to move on from public sectors or within the public sectors? Eg full-time job or contract job.
I see that the money is an issue that hinders you from making a sound judgement. I can only say that once covid-19 is not an issue, there is no need to have the current manpower to do that inspections or stay in dorms to respond…
Then it will be back to square one.
Think about it.

13 years in academics. What I heard is for unrelated experience, the number of years of experience is halved.

Hi, im in swab obs now as an AM. Just wanna enquire about the longevity of the job role since COVID is becoming less of an issue in SG. I've just got my contract extended. Would a conversion to a permanent role be possible? I am quite afraid that when they no longer need the headcount they would start to cut. Do you think it's possible?

Most likely ACE is here to stay, but the manpower will be reduced.

Did you contract extension come with a raise? 1 or 2 year extension? Tbh I don't think they will cut you off unless you are not performing.

Is 2 years. However, after 2 years ends, mostly likely headcount will be reduced significantly.
