Are all ACE positions on 1 year contract? Any folks currently in ACE can share the likelihood of emplacement?

Yes, all officers are offered a 1 year contract. Chances of emplacement is very slim.

Are you currently in ACE? Your colleagues got let go after contract expire?

So far, haven’t heard of anybody got let go, due to contract expiry.

So far, those expiring will be renewed another year. There are mentions about some identified newly joined staff to be earmarked for at least 2 years. So basically is 2 years contract… at the very least.

Does contract role follow usual period of merit increment? Or does it happen during contract renewal?

It depends on your grade eg MX15,14,13 etc… based on your academic certs as well. Somehow I think the salary will be a little higher, adding on to the allowance given and is not a small amount. They probably try to match your last pay.

It should be as per permanent position, just like what have been mentioned to you on variable bonus, if any. Performance appraisal is conducted.
