Better in terms of the prestige, branding, salary, and exit opportunities. Would appreciate anyone who has some info, please be respectful as this thread is just to help one another out.

Sorry I'm not really sure about compliance in banks, but if you wanna read: imo i would think it's better to go barclays compliance if u already have an interest in compliance or u are leaning towards this also not sure all 3 local banks have the same training rotation for MA, but from what I heard, UOB has rotations out of your own division (which means if your home division is global markets, your rotation would be 5 other divisions + global markets). so you'll get a wider exposure -- if you're still undecided on compliance, this might be better!
just ignore the salty people, we'll be kind to one another on our own. all the best for your apps!

I would go for the barclays brand name especially if you are set on compliance. At a local bank like UOB the poor performers usually get rotated to a lower end function like credit cards where you can basically consider your career over.

Ahh actually not really set on compliance per se but I missed all bank’s grad opening even for the Barclays expert grad or other explorer grad, so at the time I applied compliance was the only one that had an opening.
So I may be looking to jump ship after a few years hence the as hoping this offer (if given) wouldn’t affect my prospects in future 😬

Has Barclays reached out on next steps after the recruiter’s email to confirm your grad date last week?

How is credit cards a lower end function worse than compliance? You will be in a revenue generating function instead of a cost centre

Then can you share why compliance is deemed worse or worst of all functions? Sounds like you deemed compliance as the worst department, if it’s really that bad why do a bulge bother having a grad programme for it then?
Just really curious on this…
