Yes , you can get 5.4k for PAX5. confirm double confirm chop chop. But also depend on your pay now. if you on 4k, doubt poly will give you 5.4k it is at the top end of the ax5 scale!

Is anyone able to advise on how to overcome the 2nd interview? Are the questions asked similar to the first? Don't think so rt. this is Poly acad post. Many thks

Based on my experience, the 2nd interview is a formal panel interview consisting of the school head, your immediate boss who interviewed you at the first interview, a 3rd party (from another school within the poly, to give a neutral viewpoint) and a HR rep.

As usual, they will not ask any technical questions, and expect to repeat what you may have said in the first interview, especially on your relevant experiences, goals and expectations, etc. They will also ask you about the challenges in your field of expertise. The one that I went through, my immediate boss did not ask anything, and sat there like an observer.

This session is more of letting you impress your big boss.

Do you mean they ll expect me to repeat what I have said during the first interview? In the end did you get an offer from them?

Any advice on how to impress the big boss? I printed out some achievements of the dept is that sufficient? Oh ya, what did HR ask during your 2nd interview?

Just curious, who makes the final decision whether to hire? Director or immediate Head?

So long already but there is no news about pay increase. I suspect PSC has rejected the proposal to increase poly and ite pay.

I just received my contract renewal notice from my D. As usual, everything is status quo. And nothing is mentioned abt the pay revision... Rumors continue to spread that something will announced after the budget statement. I reckon we should all just give up hope in the pay revision matter. Move on or continue with the status quo, that's your call. I'm looking forward to the Mar PB for now, then we'll see how things go...
