Thank you.
yes, can confirm it's almost always contract roles. The only difference is duration - LTA standard 3-year contract. Other SBs not sure. However, even under contract you can still enjoy benefits and bonuses just fyi.

Rather than sit at home and wait for the stars to fall, suggest to take any of the sai kang jobs in the booming covid sectors, supermarket and healthcare. Many ads urgently need supermarket x 100, fw dorm assistant x 100
Those sai kang jobs aren't worth the health risk and effort needed for what they are paying. Not to mention your working experience there will be 100% useless in your actual CV you use to apply to any future fulltime job. And don't expect SG HRs to be v understanding of why your employment history has a gap, even if it's for a valid reason such as COVID-19 retrenchment etc, in fact they'll likely still use that PLUS any salaried part-time job you declare doing during this downtime to lowball you based on your sai kang PT job now.

Agree. If you're a local uni grad, this kind of jobs won't contribute any meaningful work experience to your CV. You'll be better off spending your time picking up some useful skill like data analytics (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview) or programming (Python, Java).

Agree. I not expecting the people to be understanding of my gap whenever I apply job, because they are already employed anyway. I consider myself lucky when people invite me for interview because it is very rare these days

Yes, I have being lowballed before where they base the pay based on my part time and claim it is market rate

Maybe can do internships. Pay likely lower but at least it provides relevant experience for resume

Don't forget, those poly graduates who wants to work after graduate have already graduated this week. And for SUSS, they be getting results around june so thats another group who will be finding job in june too. Lastly, those group of ppl who lost their job due to virus will be coming back in june to find jobs. Prolly june find job very hard

Depends. courses like marketing,hr business usually compete for same jobs due the the job education requirements.

They will put something like that, " o levels/diploma/degree/graduate diploma or relevant studies" rather than put , "minimally degree"

For eg, HR degree grads are actually competing for diploma level jobs especially in the private sector
