To be fair, it’s more than what I was drawing. Just surprised that it didn’t square with the offers/ amounts I saw in this thread, esp for one with 7-ish years experience.

Those are top performers and probably due to lack of headcount (a lot of analysts/associates are leaving due to bottom-heavy crazy workload in US banks > have to entice them to stay). Coupled with the fact that the WM space is growing too.

The base salaries are the same at each rank but bonus are more variable depending on individual and group performance. But when you are making 1m+ why would you care about +/- 50k?
Rather just go with what you like so you don't end up being miserable doing something you don't enjoy. There are people in trading who don't like the intensity and in IB who don't like the long hours.
The big money will come to you whether you do s&t or IB, just go with what you like.
