However, both are relatively unattractive compared to divisions like global corporate banking (GCB), group finance and group treasury. Consequently, it has high attrition, but those who stay 5 years or more tend to stay in a back office role for life because at the 5-year mark they have priced themselves out of the job market. Being one of the Big Three local banks, retail banking customers (aka the average Singaporean) make up a large part of the bank's revenue. But generally speaking, it is more lucrative to be financing corporates than the guy on the street. why are yall so angry towards traineeship, or trainees in general. i was a trainee and managed to convert within 6 months. now im earning 5k as a full-timer. granted, 5k is not a lot but the traineeship gave me that opportunity.
