Hiring company is not offering you % increment la.
They have a budget. Before a job is offered. Need approval etc. To work out the budget.

So the offer they give you is what they are putting out there to hire.
Ofc if a better candidate appears and they willing to pay more. Sure.

Likewise if some low paid candidate come. They also willing to pay. Cause they offering the same what.
Its a job. With a salary. That they need to fill.

Not really. I work in geylang since age 20. But as years go by, I change chicken house my pay keep falling.
