Alot of baka in this forum
You all very stupid.
Hiring company is not offering you % increment la.
They have a budget. Before a job is offered. Need approval etc. To work out the budget.
So the offer they give you is what they are putting out there to hire.
Ofc if a better candidate appears and they willing to pay more. Sure.
Likewise if some low paid candidate come. They also willing to pay. Cause they offering the same what.
Its a job. With a salary. That they need to fill.
Easy peasy.

Maybe my story is not a common one but it is true. You can choose to believe or not. If you always believe that your next firm will only pay you <20% increment, then that is what you will get

LOL salty. Seriously, if you are underpaid and want to break this cycle where your next employer pegs your salary to a % increment of your last underpaid salary, you just need to focus on acquiring the right skills and fight the right employer who will pay you for what you are worth. That takes luck, determination and a lot of grit.

Advice seems fair enough, why are you so butthurt?
Just ask for more details if you need any rather than give sarcastic replies?
