Hospital (Private or Public) Designation and Salary Range

Hello! I will be having my contract renewal soon. I was offered 2.7k previously with a private degree (Murdoch) in HR. Previously i was doing diploma job scope kind of as told by interviewer therefore my low salary. I believe my contract renewal will still be AE. Will it be too much to ask for a 3.5k range? My advice is don't join hospital HR, turnover rate is very high cos of toxic environment, notice the same toxic in two of the public hospitals.

HR from cluster A recently contacted me for an interview. I am from cluster B. HR told me there will be strictly no change in job grade and salary. This really sucks!!

My advice is to join and find out for yourself. The toxic people may have left.
People do change and it is better to be employed.

Don’t ever apply public > public…. The anti competitive thingy makes it no point. Just go private then come back after.

If I had to give a shot in the dark, as an average performer (or if you are considered one), I'd hazard a guess that you would likely be up for promotion every 2-4 years per grade. It'd probably get longer/harder once you progress beyond an "individual contributor" role. Individual contributors in public healthcare institutions are generally in Job Grades 11-14. JG11 Executive I
JG12 Executive II/Senior Executive

JG15 Manager

Would take you between 8-12 years to become a manager leading a team.

How's the pay and bonus like in private? I'm doing lab and the environment in private hospital lab is very toxic.

But if I don't jump, I will be stuck at my job grade forever. Unlikely I will get promoted in the next 5 years. I'm stuck in JG 13 for 9 years!!
