Currently shortlisted for interview with ST Aero for TLAE on 5th Sept 2017. I'm a local grad having a deg in Mech Engine. After reading all the experiences, and the relatively low renumeration, I am having second thoughts. Mainly because I'm planning to get married in 2 years +. Dilemma. I really don't mind the OTs and hands-on work. But I'm wondering if there is a better opportunity out there.

Its all about the license..think long term, once bond finish u can get better pay outside..lae is in demand all over the world everytime.
Well, if u search jobs under aviation ud know.
Short term thinking its definitely not worth, there are no other tlae programs in singapore other than STAE and SIA.

Go join tech service or Boeing or Airbus, the training will take a quite some time will a significant pay reduction as compared to outside. It not a 2 years program. It might go up to 3 or even 4 years... before u pass out. Long term, I don't know, just hoped that you don't cock up during your term as a lae. Once something happen. Byby to career.
