During basic theory, you need to clear both EASA and CAAS exam.
First year allowance is $1.7(fr diploma) and $2.2k (fr degree holder) not including advanced bonus and 13th month bonus. Difference is $500, and once get license basic is $2.4k (diploma) not including bonus, ot and other allowances.
I would recommend you to take degree first before joining LAE programme, you will get higher grade and better pay.

Thanks for the info. After the 2.5 years theory, then during that another 2 years of OJT are we allowed to do lots of OTs?

If there is a need for OT, they will ask you to stay back. During OJT, you are attached to LAE.

You chance to progress in st is limited. Tell me what can you learn by cleaning wires everyday. License interview is conducted internally and god bless if the person who interview you doesn't like you.

aircraft maintenance engineer
hi, i just completed my spm(o-level) as im from malaysia and i would like to continue my studies in Singapore in order to become a Licensed Aircraft Engineer one day. I am currently looking to study at ATTC to take up the course "Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering" ? Would you recommend me to take up this course or is it better for me to take up the Foundation degree program or the Diploma course (ADAM)?
Is this a good college ? and how long will it roughly take for me to become a licensed aircraft engineer ?

Local polytechnic diploma higher chance, for now siaec taking in only degree personnel. Thinking of embarking on this route too. But have a Friend who failed his final interview and have been drag for 7 years without becoming a Lae.

Hi guys, I studied aero in polytechnic and currently studying mechanical engineering in uni. I would like to know what are the career prospects as LAE? Is it possible/easy to switch to other countries/airlines as LAE? Or should I be technical service engineer in aviation industry?
