Best employee award
The award was given by recruitment firm. What do you think of how neutral it can be? CAG has outsourced a lot of their original work content to an extent technically they will face the same demises of other highlighted delayed projects. Auntie culture of civil servant, not willing to change, ego that there are better than others. See GLCs that failed and decide to employ foreign talents and then failed even worse. The current drive to develop local core is correct, else can forget about building smart nation. My personnel comments.
In private MNCs receiving tenders from public sector
Worthwhile to track Singpost development, an interesting case and also how did Singapore end up with lack of good banking executives while we have the biggest bank here in SE Asia.

People are asking for specific questions of the interview process in CAG. If you know it, then I'm sure people will be grateful if you can share.
Otherwise I really don't know why you are going on a tirade in this forum about how "GLC" sucks and how good your so called "American MNC" is. What has Singpost board tussle or million dollar banking executives have anything to do with the topic?

I also would like to find out what it takes to get an interview call from CAG.
I graduated with a double degree in business and accountancy from NTU. Both degrees were second upper honours. Was a dean lister for one academic year. Currently working in big 4.
I thought the qualifications were pretty good :x but apparently not good enough to garner an interview.

Unfortunately CAG and Big 4 is heaven and earth. Your degrees are good, just that CAG is one of the top employers in Sg & they are not short of applicants to choose from.

Tough luck I guess. Honestly, there could be many factors why you didn't get selected. So don't think that you are not good enough.
And think about it this way... Your career will span the next three decades or so... Even if CAG is not your first employer after graduation, there are still many chances for you to enter as an experienced hire as you go down the road
All the best, and hope you are enjoying it at the Big 4.

It sounds tough to get an interview..judging by what you ppl say. How much does a senior associate and assistant manager/manager earn?

I am really surprised by the so-called salary range people give here. CAG doesn't pay as much as the banks, in fact they pay quite low for non-managerial positions. However if you look at the annual package (incl. bonus + staff benefits), it's not bad.
Local grad senior associates? High 2s to mid 3s. AM mid 3s to 4s. M mid 4s to 5s/6s, depending on your work experience.
