Just because I was not able to get promoted in private sector does not mean MAS has to low ball me. I still got years of experience.

Hello there, I wish you all the best in your endeavours in MAS. It is definitely a place where you can learn immensely. May I understand what you were doing in the financial services sector?

I feel that years of experience that doesn't translate to any meaningful salary increments or promotions is an indirect indication of how dispensable your work output is.

To be honest I fail to see how that's suppose to give you an edge in salary negotiation.

I might see it as a negative point as an interviewer.

Then again, it's just my personal opinion as a layman.

I don't understand why people use the word low ball when finding a job. Ultimately, the employer is the one that has to assess the value you bring to the table.

Maybe it's worthless, maybe it's invaluable, the employer will decide for itself and make you an offer accordingly.

If you think their offer is lousy then just stay in your current job lor. No such thing as "lowball".

Yes it will seem odd to interviewers if you have many years of experience but still remain at an entry-level position.

I'm sure your years of experience are extremely valuable, given how much your current employer is paying you right now.

Don't ask for DD, you deserve at least an ED

Hard truths bro! From experience, those who never get promoted in their current job are the biggest cannon fairies. They talk as if they are God's gift to MAS and meet all the requirements to the T and can't understand when they do not get selected.
