Anyone knows what is the total annual package for a VP, Lead Data Scientist in the IIG group? Heard there are different pay schemes for tech, some fall under a better front office tech kind of package. Is this role one of those?

Should be between 200 - 300k. Not front office but on a higher pay scheme than IT.

Lots of politics in this org, too many useless departments created to open up senior roles for retirees. Data science is a hype here...everybody scrambling to do ChatGPT because some MDs think it's cool.

Depends on which department exactly. Most tech departments in GIC was and is still pretty messed up due to the previous CTO who was parachuted in from Singtel. Totally useless lady, accomplished nothing except for politicking and cronyism then parachuted out again.

Alot of politics and fighting for meaningful work by their SVPs for promotion to MDs. If you fall under a weak or incompetent head then good luck to your career. Probably end up like the SIG or Innovation Lab. End up getting reorg-ed away.

Those openings are probably keh long postings to justify absorbing the disbanded SIG people like the post above said. Lol, don't get your hopes high.
