Nope. More, to say that if your salary is near the ceiling, you will get a lesser increment and it will come one day that you won't have any increment unless you are promoted. Again, promotion is not easy over here. We are a bottom-heavy agency. Promotion is only for those who are favoured by bosses and deemed to have more visibility.

Near ceiling = earn more. Ceiling of XT6 is already 9+k. XT7 ceiling is in the 5 digits. Probably a lot more than what those stuck at their grades can get outside. Which is why they won't leave even if they got no promotion in 10 years.

Whenever you are nearer to the ceiling, your increment will starts to drop. This is the norm. Unless you are a scholar or someone who’s in good books, most will retire as xt6/7 but the salary is already high enough than most private peers.

Who told you XT6 ceiling is 9k plus? And nope, even an XT7 reaches ceiling which is about 10.8k people will still leave if there is no increment. Simple reason is you will be in 40s or some near 50s. By that time, this so called 5 digits is just a common amt if you take into consideration inflation. The value of 10k now and 10k in 10 years later is totally different.

correct. nobody will feel shiok to be capped unless they are like 5 years from retirement

You better check in with other XT6. How is it possible that the difference in ceiling range between XT6 and XT7 is 1k different? Like when they eventually promote u to XT7 after u reached the ceiling for XT6..u will again hit the ceiling at XT7 very soon and u won't have MI? Because XT7 to XT8 is very difficult. Also with such a far ceiling, be prepared to hentakaki for a very long if you can't secure a promotion to XT7

Please don't act smart if u don't know the answer. Ceiling for XT6 is 9113 to be exact.
