What's the job levels like in NCS management chain?
CEO
President?
Vice President
Senior director
Director
Assist Director
Senior manager?
How much is say, their Senior manager or Director getting?
Heard that it's very political up there, though one can retire there.
Still holds true?
Considering either Gov or quasi-Gov like NCS to work in..

Went to an interview for software engineer .net role c#, and just got offered the role. I'm a fresh graduate whose programming skills is only at the moderate level. Know how to do object oriented programming and basic sql scripting etc. The ncs manager/leader interviewer said not to worry as they will be training me. They are offering me around 2.3k.
On the other hand as I have interest in games programming I got offered a job in a small startup/sme doing multimedia stuffs. My role in that sme of 20 people, would be the Games Developer. But I will be the sole developer/programmer in their games team with no extra team members except for artist and designer. Only guidance i can get would be from another programmer in another department, which offered to assist me in showing me the logic but I would end of the day be the one that is responsible for the development.
Pay offered at the SME would be around 2.2K with opportunity to increase above 2.3K based on performance.
Any tips on which to choose? I'm more interested in the SME position offering but to be the only one in charge of developing the games for their clients may be a challenge as although I have 3 month experience using the same tools required and same language, I don't think I could work solo just yet.
For a fresh grad, is NCS offering better and a more safer route? I know from reading you guys have stated that its bad for career advancement etc, but would my programming skills at least improve in NCS so that in future (few months or a year time) I could be more confident in myself and take up jobs that is a one man team like the SME's game development position?

Wah.. got so many things say ah..
Firstly, don't go NCS.
Secondly, if you must got to NCS, start looking for other companies immediately.
For real, too answer some of your questions. PR is out today. Its like ****. Not worth all the hardwork we put into the job.
There are entry level positions every month for java/.NET developers. about 20 per month.
If you're a degree holder, and they offerring you 2.3k means something is wrong. The entry level position i mentioned offers 3.3k starting.
Don't count on going for courses and stuff at NCS because its all for show. You wont have time or opportunity to go.
Worked here for 1.5 years. Looking for job elsewhere already.

Unsure whether this is the path I should take therefore would like to get a taste of the working life first before going to SIM GE for degree. Is 2.3K for diploma holder considered market rate?
1. Did your programming skills and problem solving skills improve at least throughout your 1.5 years? Like do you see an improvement before and after joining NCS and feel more confident in taking up other programming based roles?
2. Also is the working hours quite bad where you everyday end work later than 6pm? Like how much OT is there on a monthly or weekly basis? Just an estimate
3. Do you think in my case they would pay for OT?
4. Did they pay you OT?
