just ask a close friend to teach you how to buy stocks online. i personally use ketrade.com.sg. you'll need open a CDP account too.

to learn about stocks, read some books on local stocks. basically, u need to read widely with a skeptical mind - in particular, don't trust 2 kinds of people: people who conduct seminars and sales staff (who push you to buy unit trusts, investment-linked insurance plans and other funny instruments). it is in their interest to make money from you, not to teach you how to do well. they'll feed you with basic knowledge that doesn't cost a cent to learn.

to play safe, buy blue chip companies. but you will need some capital.

when you have more money, you can also learn how to buy a 2nd property. the first property, which is most likely a hdb flat, is for you to stay in.

good luck.

Seem like there's indeed a lot of millionaires around, at least this is what I gather after reading this forum, which re-confirmed the fact that we have 11.4% of millionaire household of 1m USD of investible assets....

Wow, 11.4%!! Unfortunately I'm not one of them...

So I guess most of the postings here are indeed credible...

hey, please don't jump to your own conclusion! i was too busy with my work to look for properties. I am holding much more cash now through profits in my business and still have not bought a 2nd property which I admit is a mistake. I will spend some time to look for some properties in Europe this year

Seems like all the news on Singaporean not saving enough is BS.

I notice that whenever the networths/salaries posted here become too high for comfort, the Bill Gates, Sultan of Bruneis and Warren Buffetts will appear.

Yes agree with you. All the ''red eyes''. Most people cannot take it if their classmates or peers earn more than them. You lose friends when you reveal you earn more than them
