Random unsubstantiated arguments with an obvious bias does not.
I think the guy did back up his view with facts but unfortunately he did not provide the numbers. You can check his claims by looking at the URA data and the Jurong Lake District plan. I think there is a video showing the plan. Hope both of you will show some decorum in this forum.

There is only one person out of line in this forum. If you look in the other threads, he's there spamming his usual line of "buy jurong leasehold landed". Spammers need to be put down straightaway, otherwise they think it's ok, and once you let the rot start, the whole ship goes down.

Other than that, this thread (which was started by me, i just find it a chore to log in) has been full of useful information and healthy discussion. Kudos to those e.g. Zhang etc who truly believe in sharing their knowledge unselfishly with others.

you have a lot of anger.

how's your blood pressure?

job too stressful? worrying about rising costs? children naughty, not doing well in school?

here's some advice. exercise more. get more sleep. don't worry so much. learn to let go. money's not everything. your health's going to go to the shits if you continue to be so stressed.

Is it good to invest in condo TOP 2017 now? Would D10 be a good investment?

Hi Unregistered,

I put a disclaimer first: Not a Financial Adviser nor Associates of any Financial Firms and all information are for sharing purposes

I'm assertive on the Market as Sillypore Garment has input cooling measures (apparently succeeded this time) which signifies that Properties Investment is still piping hot but Speculation wise, pretty much toned down.

Ultimately, the rationale of your inquiry boils down to a few factors in general; Wealth Mgmt. (Equity Tolerance), Property Elements (Location, View, Accessibility etc.), Risk Management (Tolerance, Rate of Risk does not equate to Rate of Return) and Yield Mgmt (Long vs Short Term or Low vs High Yield).

Equity Tolerance: Your current salary/income/investments can support the Condo TOP 2017 anot? Let's assume that the market crashes (Touch Wood, Nose, Mouth), your Condo TOP 2017 depicts negative equity, will you be able to compensate the pessimism stated in most mortgage firms and top up the variance otherwise, risked being repossessed and getting into legal indictments.

2 cents worth to be deemed valid.

Warmest Regards,
Kenn

Default Stock picks

Hey people, couldnt resist the itch after seeing the STI dropped continuously over the last 3 wks.

Started going in. Here's what I picked up with my little spare money

2 lots of SPH at $4.25
10 lots of Lippomalls Trust at $0.46
2 lots of starhub at $3.98
5 lots of Singtel at $3.68

Hoping to get some dividends from them.
Looking to stock up on SPH when my bonus come in next month to enjoy the special dividend when it hive off it's properties.

If it continues to go down, are you going to keep buying?

It depends. If economists everywhere screaming meltdown, I would not go in anymore. May even consider cut loss. But if nothing changes from the current situation and the market just decline some more, I would take the opportunity to accumulate some more stocks and average down at the same time.

Looking at the blue chip companies, many will survive the current uncertainty and continue to dish out good dividends. I think they make good investments allowing your money to keep up with inflation.
