hi everyone..

newbie here. just like to check with experts/seniors here..

some background of me..

generic 1-yr degree,
no mba
over 10yr exp.
executive level in a technology mnc
drawing 10k.

was recently approached to join a stat board as executive manager, and was told they are able to match/better my current pay.

am considering that cos of job security (not getting any younger..), and company is likely going to restructure soon

questions:
1. this is still lower ranking than a director in the stat board right?
2. what is the grade for an executive manager, higher number the better?
3. salary range for this grade.. is it at the top of the salary band?
4. promotional prospects?
5. job security.. would they turn u into a contract staff at, say, 45yr old or something? i have heard some ministry doing that..

thank you in advance.

Please spare us the bullsh!t and at least educate yourself to some basic facts before trying to spin such a lame story.

A 1 year generic degree can't even get you into the executive stream much less get a superscale job in a stat board. Manager is the level where fresh uni grad enter, what able to exceed your 10k pay talking you?

any salary more than 10k per mth is consider SUPERSCALE job, aka MX9 level, I dun think you are at that level, at most higher scale of MX11 to MX10, in the civil service or equivalent in statboard

That means it is not possible that they can afford to pay me that amount unless putting me on mx9, which I am not qualified with my credentials stated above?

I want to clarify this to avoid wasting time with them.

Hey hero, I am in need if advice, that's why I posted the questions here.
I have never worked in civil or public sector throughout, and this is the first time considering them. This is a mid-career switch, not from fresh.

They approached me, that's why I asked, before agreeing to proceed further.

Can share with us which university and what degree program gives you a degree in 1 year? Never knew there existed such a short 1-year degree... somemore is still recognized by the public service...

Australian university. Done it there over 15 years ago, straight to their final year with a poly diploma.
I must qualify again, they approached me, probably recommended by client there whom I serviced previously.Nothing discussed or shown yet.
If I am already not qualified on paper, I won't want to spend time following up further, to find out after going through the whole hiring process.

Apologies, thought you were another one of those clowns out here trying to BS their high flying career.

In short, NO not possible. CS and SB follow strictly the CEP and matrix bandwidth.

With a crash course Aussie generic degree and your experience (I assume u ard mid 30s) at most they can put you at lowest end of MX10 which is about 7.3k.

Thanks for your advice.
Those who bullsh1t are probably having low self esteem. What can they achieve to gain in real life by bluffing in front of the keyboard how much they earn?

Nonetheless, thanks again.
