If I joined in Aug 1 last year, will I only know my merit increment in mid-Aug 2022 when my salary comes in?

Officers in the Management Executive Scheme (MXS), Management Support Scheme (MSS) and Corporate Support Scheme (CSS) will receive salary adjustments of between 5 per cent and 10 per cent, said PSD, with higher adjustments for grades that have larger gaps with market benchmark.

Those in the Operations Support Scheme (OSS) will receive higher adjustments of between 6 per cent and 14 per cent.

Will all MX scheme officers get the adjustment though?

I remember in 2014 only mid-level MX scheme officers got the adjustment.

Just curious, does anyone happens to know that what’s LTA scheme? I know it’s LTE. but does it relate to any of the scheme mentioned above that will have adjustments to their salary?

Should be no adjustment. LTA is a statboard anyway, so not considered civil service.
