Yes, for public service it appears that anything from DD onwards is pretty much standard across agencies.

Yes. For fresh grads, all ministries are on the MX scheme and will pay you at the same range, EXCEPT for MFA (FSO scheme) and legally-trained people in relevant positions (Legal scheme) where the pay is significantly higher.

Fresh grads start on a two-year contract as MX13 (AD). If you meet expectations after one year, you will be "emplaced" as perm staff and you will rise to MX12 (still AD). From then you, depending on your performance grade, you can then rise to MX11 (as SAD) the following year, or after 2-3 years if you are more average. The range for MX11 is between high 4 to low 7, it varies quite widely. Teams can have more SADs than ADs.

Take note that there are two grades of SAD i.e. MX11 and MX11A. MX11A is where many officers end up in, some of them will be team leads but this is not a hard and fast rule.

The chasm between MX11A and MX10 (DD) is the hardest to cross, depending of CEP. There are SADs still in their 20s, but there are also SADs that are closer to 40 as well.

Also, just to point out, just because titles are similar doesn’t mean the pay grades are the same.

A MTI AD starts at about 3.5-3.8k (fresh grad). In contrast, a MFA AD would be about 6 years in service and would have come back from at least one post - drawing about 10k or so.

MTI SADs draw about high 4 to mid-5.

Yep sad thing is despite the titles, MTI peeps really don't get paid very well and their hours are amongst the longest in the civil service.

Furthermore, we’re talking about base salaries before bonuses. If you want to throw in bonuses and complete packages, you’re looking at about 6-7k per month starting for MFA.
No, the base salary for MAS is 4.3k + (post-probation bonus/12). There is still PB and Group Bonus after, which brings total annual package to be 16 months on average.

So what you’re saying is that MAS essentially pays equivalent to a 4.3k package from any Ministry. That’s roughly equivalent to the DXO scheme, and a little higher than than the MXO scheme, but still much lower than the specialised schemes Foreign Service, Economist, Legal Service which start at about 5k basic and still enjoy a 16-17 month package in addition.

What i'm saying is that MAS basic is indeed 5k. The probation bonus is not really a bonus per se, its part of the basic package but only given after passing 1 year mark and thereafter added back to the monthly basic from y2 onwards... all these before PB & GB, hence its similar to the specialised schemes you referred to.

That's interesting because from what I hear, the fresh grads who get into MTI are generally the smarter ones compared with the more social ministries. I assumed that meant they are paid more as well.
