Compare civil service salary

Hello, I got offered a position with a stat board ( a very notable one under MND) and I just wonder what is the difference between a Ministry and a Stat Board? Besides the distinction between a public servant and a civil servant, and the job scope lah.

Are the bonuses generally the same as the ones announced for civil servants?

I am a male (with NS), 2nd upper from local uni.

Almost 10 yrs in CS, its my 1st job. Quite burnt out from the grunts. Had afew promotions and doing 230k/yr (income stated on ir8a).

Qn is how easy it is to move out to pte with pay match?

Does honours affect salary if I intend to go into civil service as a mid-career switch? My degree is only a pass with merit.

40-45years old....
