Either you get promoted or if you don't meet the required performance for promotion, your next increment will be capped up to thei grade salary cap. There is no guaranteed promotion simply because you are approaching the cap.

I'm currently working at a stat board on a 2 year contract. If I get an offer from a ministry, does the movement policy apply to me or does it only apply to permanent officers at a stat board?

dont think it helps. I did my masters in nus after sim uol.

Went to a top MNC after that. Much better than civil service.

Post Singapore Airlines

Anyone got any idea on the progression for Singapore Airlines AO? From fresh grad onward, including the salary scale? And does being a scholar really make much of a difference? I'm currently a scholar, 1st class hons and doing very well in school but don't know if breaking bond to go private sector (banking) will be worth it or staying in SIA will pay off in the long run. Any help will be appreciated guys!

Are you talking about within SIA or for banking industry? I am already a scholar with SIA, so right now it's just about whether I want to go back after graduation, or break bond before.

Scholars like you damn chee bye. If you have cash lying around to break bond then obviously you don't need a scholarship. Deprive people of chance then now break bond. If not clear what you want then take up scholarship for what?

People like you will go far because you are chee bye enough. But at the end of the day you will just be a rich chee bye. Got money so what, chee bye is still chee bye.

I'm not some envious person who can't get scholarship. I'm a bond-free scholarship recipient. And unlike you, I'm not a chee bye.
