any idea why some civil service jobs that i applied over the past month got posted on the website again recruiting new ppl? my online status for those jobs have remained as 'submitted'? i suppose they have not gone thru my application yet if thats the case, but why are they searching for new ppl den? or this might be an indication that i will probably see my status change to 'kept for reference' very soon?

it simply means you are not shortlisted for interview. by right, they should have changed your status to "unsuccessful" but somehow they didn't. anyway, do not look at the status. if you are shortlisted, they will call and email you accordingly.

weird...these jobs were posted a month ago. does it mean that they couldnt find anyone suitable even for those shortlisted?

means that all (shortlisted + not shortlisted) are not making the mark. Need to publish the recruitment ads again.

Hi. I have a friend who just grad from NUS. Studied social science. Was offered 3.9k by a stat board. Job scope = Policy analyst. Is this way above average?
