anyone from NEA can enlighten me? Why some of the staffs in the same department and team are Engineer/Executive Engineer while some are Assistant Manager? all are doing the same job scope, but why the difference in title?

If I go to another Ministry via transfer scheme (years of service carried over), will I still get a default grade C at my new workplace?
Asking because I got a B this year at my current workplace, and if I stay one more year and get a B (likely), I'll get promoted...

If you transfer to a new ministry before 1 July, your current Ministry ranks you. If you transfer after 1 July, the new ministry ranks you - however. they will consider previous ministry's suggestion on performance grade.
That being said, promotions do not come by easy and I would rather secure the promotion before moving if I were you.

Thankful for some of the useful info here so would like to contribute mine.
Finished interview not long ago, was told by hiring manager to expect a minimum of at least 3.9k in one of the ministries.
Fresh grad from SIM with NS.

Well done! that is a really good outcome! And I believe the package comes with pretty desirable bonus as well?
