The JC peeps will play safe and hold on dearly to their jobs. Only a handful will make 200-300k. The poly towkays easily make 1m a year.
Dun tok rubbish lah.."only a handful make 200-300k" The top 10% uni grads who are in GIC, Goldman, JPM, medicine, law, business owners, blue chip companies senior management make more in 1 year than your entire life savings.

Don't overestimate lah.

There are 2 million locals in our labour force, and about 20% are graduates. Assuming your "life savings" = $1m, you are saying 10% of 400k = 40k people are making $1m a year.

You're over-estimating by more than an order of magnitude, dude.

Dude, I never mention nor assume that loser's life savings is $1m (hope u're not him) and I certainly wld give a much lower benchmark than that. Since u're so gd at estimates, maybe u can advise him how many uni grads make 200-300k p.a compared to poly grads? Is it "just a handful" in Sg? And the no. of millionaire towkays with no degrees in Sg. Thanks.

Almost every Tom can save $1m in a lifetime. It's a LIFETIME, dude.

I don't think anyone in this forum lives below the poverty line or are stupid enough to get into a spiralling debt situation.

That's not really a lot. If you work in a bank, all other things equal (eg same competence, same luck of meeting good bosses, same stress level, same level of challenging work), you could have easily made 50% more.
