I also saw too many bankers and engineers earning fantastic salaries. Are Singaporean really make so much money? Probably it is the nature of kiasu and kiasi mentality that make so many people try to bluff. GDP divide by Singapore population divide by 4 multiply by two is the real answer.

why kiasu? Scare people look down upon you.
why kiasi? JB is high in crime.
too many are dependent on internet to get information.
they think what they see in internet is actual scenario.
do they really step out of Singapore?
God only know.

i think all these are fictitious character.
in singapore where got old people working for living.
many having hdb flat and children to take care their parents.
singapore is well known as a caring society, if children is useless, govt will take care.
singaporean also well known for their generosity. they are given good pay, therefore they also give good pay to their maid. some even gave away all their properties to nurse who take care of them after they pass away.
so fictitious character in real life does not exist in singapore.

You can get everything in Singapore.
Why should you step out to face uncertainty and risk of been killed, exposed to ebola, beheaded by ISIS?
Your personal safety is utmost important.
