Time for me to relax next year. I’ve been working so hard for a long time.
you deserve to retire early (not really early though cos there are those more successful ones who retired in their 40s) because your net worth is nore than $1 mil or maybe $10 mil depending on the value of your condo

Good retirement plan. Retirement is all about lifestyle. If you need $200k pa to retire, then you will never retire. You have a luxury condo which you can monetise if you need to. $30k pa is actually quite a lot for a retiree who is debt free. Food and utilities should not cost too much for a single person. Unless you eat at restaurants frequently.

Varies from S$111k to S$150k pa.

We have a fully paid up 3 plus 1 bedder freehold condo in Sg and a JB cluster semid now rented out.

We can rent out our Sg condo for S$5k a mth and retire in our JB semid.

Except that we have 2 teenage boys so prob need to wait for them to be independent first.

We have about S$800K cash and investments and can also live off that till retirement at age 65 years old as we r about 50 years old. S$800K DIVIDED by S$4000 a mth can last us till 65 years old. S$4k plus S$1k in rental income will give us S$5k per mth which is sufficient. CPF life would be about S$3-4k for both of us too.

We are an average performing SG couple (52 and 54 years old) with only a combined income of $150k pa. We are debt free. Our children are in university in SG so we can’t retire yet. We will retire at about 58 years old, when they start working and renting their own place.

We plan to retire in Penang or KL. We have relatives and friends in Malaysia. Our fully paid SG condo can be rented out for SGD 4k pm (MYR 13k pm). This passive income is sufficient for two of us. Renting a nice, new condo in Penang or KL costs only MYR 2k pm.

At 65, our CPF Life will give us SGD 5k pm. So our passive income will be SGD 9k pm (MYR 30k pm). With this amount of passive income, we can travel the world and retire like a billionaire in Malaysia.

36, single, 600K spread out over bonds and stocks. Passive income 1.4K per month. Stay in 3R hdb with no car. Only Entertainment is watching Netflix and jogging. Eat in restaurants with friends once a month, other times will be at coffeeshop or Food courts. Travel to Batam twice a year for holidays. Have been working in high stress engineer job since graduation from university. Thinking of semi retiring and taking on simpler jobs like admin, I’m ok with 2K per month jobs. Is this plan feasible?

damn, all these people can probably retire early. I'm 29F, only drawing 150k/annum, private grad. That's like below average here.
