Most of these postings are fake.

Here is my posting. You judge whether it’s fake or not.

We are the average couple earning average salaries. In our early 50s. We are however prudent and able to save and clear of HDB mortgage. We are totally debt free!

We plan to retire when we are 55 as we can then collect our CPF after setting aside our CPF Life ERS.

Our savings will be used for our retirement from age 55 to 65. We will need $30k pa or $300k for 10 years. We will cook at home and have no car.

Upon reaching 65, our CPF Life will give us $5k pm or $60k pa. This is more than we need.

Life is good. We are happy with our success in life.

Take everything you read here with a pinch of salt. Don't believe everything at its face value especially on an unregulated/annoymous forum.

Good for them if they are high achievers in life, happy and god bless them. Otherwise, nothing to be discouraged about.

Need to make people believe that everything in life is good and it's possible to retire early instead of working to death even if you aren't a high flyer. Picking cardboard is for exercise after all.

Your posting looks genuine. Very down to earth and possible. The typical average Singaporean who has succeeded in life. Own HDB flat and got savings and CPF. No need to be greedy for more. Anyway we only live once. Enjoy retirement if you can afford to retire with a simple lifestyle. No need to dream of getting bungalow, sports car, etc then can retire. Don’t be stupid.
