One of the 42% who failed. Will probably speak to my ops head in the coming week to discuss my situation. Would like some advice, would it be better to
A) stay in ops for another year and try to take mmed next year? (Not sure if I can continue mopex, which is what I am now after completing 3 years of residency). I am also not sure if my ops will offer me RP without any post grad qualifications at present. (Will prob discuss with my ops boss)

B) just leave for private, and take mmed next year as a private candidate. The thinking is that if I can't pass mmed, really no point staying in ops with just mbbs. If I manage to pass mmed subsequently, can always return later as a FP

Unless u have slack the last 4 months and step on the toes of everyone.
Rp will lugi nearly 100k but u higher chance pass next year. Private u see 1 year of GP stuff give u retinitis pigmentosa sort of cases again u think u can handle?

Private u can probably command same or even slightly higher salary as a m.med fp on ops.

So end of the day..
See where the aspiration is. If u never like institutional work with politics, added sai kang then just go private straight. Dun waste time.
But if u like to stay in public , u have to weight whether the 100k is worth is or not. In grand scheme of things it's not a terribly big amount.

In the end also all salaried employees.
No wonder all talk about monthly salary and bonus.
For those of us truly go private and be own boss there is no fixed "monthly" income.
Can go up and go down. Most drs dont like this correct?
Very tough but it is the way to do really really well. Stick to "safe" = mediocre. MMed or not.

Told you already my earnings don't go by every month. It varies quite a bit. Can be anything between $15,000 to $50,000 a month. Depends how much I work as well. Annual income is $300,000-$400,000.
