Population White Paper of 6.9 million by 2030. What do u think? With increasing population, GPs will always be in demand and other specialities too.

But Artificial Intelligence may disrupt our industry sooner or later....may make work of diagnosis easier for Drs but may make some of us redundant in future??
So best to strive for financial freedom and get passive income as early as u can. Earn and invest wisely.
Passive income meaning money u get even without working like rental from property, dividends from shares, royalties from books.

Actually GP locum rates have kept pace with inflation the last 10 years. I used to get reg slots about S$85 per hr but now I get for S$90 per hr.
What has also changed is most clinics now pay by sliding scale according to patient load.

Is there always a demand for locum gp? Should job security be a consideration when one considers to be a locum gp?
