Lol. So many here have said it's true. Believe if you want, disbelieve if you want.

I want to believe it but at the same time I feel like I need to not believe it

I am current mohh mo . I previously didn't believe it as well, but have just received the email today. It is indeed true that the clinical allowance is now scraped and all mos will get the 500 dollars

However, may still be worth pursuing these post grad qualifications (for residency or if you quit mohh and become rp, some department may still offer extra $ for these qualifications.)

How well compensated are RPs in Singapore? Do they do calls as well and what is their call rate like? RP or residency? What will you choose?

This has been answered in previous posts go check them out. RP don't earn much at all and sadly most people will not get a chance to do what they like in Singapore. Doctors spend tons on money on education, those overseas grads worse, and they will live to regret their decision to become a doctor. Living standards increasing, taxes increasing, pay are increasing for most other sectors esp IT and banking. Only thing stagnating or decreasing is doctors salary. The government think that doctors earn enough already and so will not want to increase the compensation rate of doctors for the work they do. They don't know that hourly the doctor makes less than your McDonalds cashier and are doing such high stress job. So yeah you get the point.. Dont be a doctor you prob gonna spend your whole life regretting it. Go into banking, finance, IT. Become a pilot or create your own start up. Prospect in medicine has been declining from God knows how long ago. It's no longer a viable way to make a comfortable living.

To be fair, you can earn 7-8k a month as rp. Which is quite comfortable if you live sensibly. But I agree that it is not as well paid as some of the other sectors

actually when compared to a lot of allied health, rps do make 20-30% more.
