Anyone knows the salary of MO vs AC (OB/GYN)?
Currently a FY2 doctor in the UK, got matched into OB/GYN ST1 speciality training. Trying to evaluate whether it’s worth training for another 7 years in OB/GYN before getting CCT and applying back to SG.
Salary is pretty bad relative to the cost of living in the UK, though working hours are generally bearable.
Thinking of quitting now and returning back to SG as an MO, but friends are advising against it.

The guy who is talking about mo earning 150k obviously have no idea what he is talking about.
Anyway, I went to look.
O&g how come competition ratio not that high in UK?!
3 for 1 spot.
Not too bad.
Sg quite hard to get in but it's straight 6 years now
If u think u have what it takes to go all the way, stay in UK
Sg o&g training only kk and nuh.
All one pattern. U come back can't straight get in.
Need work 1 to 2 years with them.
And I repeat..all 1 pattern
Day 1 u make 1 consultant or reg unhappy
Gg liao. No chance.
Salary diff not much la.

If u don't get a residency position in sg
Will you be happy becoming a GP?
If yes come back
If no, and u die die want to be obgyn, then stay in UK
There is no guarantee u will get a position
To be safe just finish ur training in UK then come back

Is it very difficult for a Singaporean IMG from a delisted Uni (UCD, Ireland), to get full registration in Singapore?

MO 8k a month = $96,000 p.a
Bonus top tier 3 months? $24,000
Total $120,000
AC 15k a month = $180,000
Bonus top tier 3 months? $45,000
Total $225,000
Look pretty good.
From MO to AC nearly double.
Few more year become consultant close to $500,000 a year.
