Agree bro, there are too many pro-India trolls wanting to displace us Sinkie doctors from our jobs like what they did in local banking industry. And these are for jobs which can be done by a qualified sinkie if not for the applicant and hiring manager being from the same country. In all my years I haven't seen this level of powerful patriotism before with other foreign doctors and definitely not from a impartial sinkie. Our brilliant PAP government is aware but nothing much is being done.

If you ignore the overly positive salutatory remarks made by the foreign Indian doctors for whom English isn't their first language and Singapore is godsend compared to where they were originally from, then as a reasonably intelligent person you would be able to form your own conclusion.
Look buddy. I appreciate the advice, albeit a tad curt, but how does asking for recommendations to a physician recruiter translate to a search for self-validation?

You're creating dissonance among the community and expect to be treated nicely? Cry me a river.

Singaporeans have more recently become very anti-foreigner. While the government and management support hiring foreigners, on the ground the sentiment does not. However they do not have to courage to show it in the open.

Why do you think this is the case?

Is xenophobia prevalent even among Singapore physicians too?

What do you think?

Physicians are smart enough not to make such opinions public lest they be disciplined.

Hi all, can I ask if a resident will be judged negatively if they fail their intermediate examinations? (E.g mrcp/mrcs etc). My programme director recently asked me how I did for my exam. (He knew I was taking exams, I told him I failed, he just said "ok, try again")
I will obviously try again, but not sure if I will be judged negatively by the faculty..

Mrcp Paces is hard to pass.
Mrcs is easier.

Default International external rotation period

Good morning everyone!

My name is Andrea and I’m doing my first year of Neumology in a Spanish hospital.
During our 3rd-4th year we are allowed to do an external rotation for 2 months in our place of choosing.
I love Singapore and I’ve been doing some research about neumology and looks very promising.
Has anyone done this kind of program before?
I would like to know how this program usually works, if it’s something they usually do and if someone would give me some advice about their experiences.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance

Andrea xx
