He could easily get a cushy role in a B4 with his credentials.
tbf, if you think about how RHT came into existence...

Very low. Costs too much. Life as a lawyer is pretty crap. Unless you are single and don't intend to settle down until 45 years (have kids etc), then maybe you can consider.

Otherwise you are already 5-6 years behind everyone else.

Pay in legal industry ia linked to your experience AFTER call to the bar. So prepared for a reset. That said, if you previous exp is related, like you did patent related stuff or maritime related stuff, it may give you an edge when looking for job in relevant areas of law practice.

Seen some brilliant JD grads who go on to do great. But vast majority struggle after and even leave legal profession after a few years.

Suggest JD in the States. People your age or older all doing the same. Pay is good.
Avoid SG legal industry.

Minlaw should further deregulate the industry. Let intl firms offer TCs. The monopoly held by the local firms should be broken. Allow foreign firms to litigate and practice conveyancing. Many local firms will shut down.

Can attest to the crap life.

Many litigators are either divorced or single.

Those that marry only do so when they are in their 40s
